Michaela Strachan is a highly respected, BAFTA award winning presenter, best known for her work on wildlife TV shows. Over the years, Michaela has become a prominent figure in the media for her dedication to wildlife conservation and the environmental. As a speaker, she is in high demand for events, award ceremonies, and corporate engagements, where her knowledge of wildlife and sustainability, coupled with her extensive media experience, makes her an engaging and credible voice on the challenges facing our planet.

Michaela’s career began in the late 1980s when she presented various television shows, including “The Wide Awake Club” and “Boogie Box”. In 1993 she began presenting “The Really Wild Show” and in 1999, Michaela  became a regular on “Countryfile” and quickly became a well-established presence on British television. Her passion for wildlife and the natural world soon became the cornerstone of her career, leading to a long-running association with “The Watches” programmes, “Springwatch,” “Autumnwatch” and “Winterwatch”.

Michaela has continued to achieve success in her field, earning accolades such as the BAFTA for Best Factual Entertainment Programme in 2018 for “Michaela’s Wild Challenge”. Her recent work includes presenting “Extreme Conservation” on BBC World News, where she travelled the world meeting people fighting the effects of climate change, and finding extreme ways to save species and ecosystems. Michaela’s achievements are not limited to television, she is also a supporter of many wildlife charities including The Animal Asia Foundation, The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation and World Vision, and she has also worked on a sustainability campaign with Acer Aspire Vero laptops to promote tree planting with every laptop sold.
