Anna Foster is the Founder and Creative Director of E.L.V. DENIM, a pioneering brand redefining the possibilities of sustainable fashion. Each garment is created from discarded materials, crafted into bespoke pieces designed to be both functional and long-lasting. Her brand’s London Fashion Week debut with ‘The Journey’ placed it firmly on the map as a leading voice in conscious design, with collections later showcased at Selfridges as part of The Mills Fabrica and London Craft Week Edit. With a career that spans more than two decades in fashion consulting, styling, and editing, Anna has become a driving force in the world of reworked clothing.
Her early career established her reputation as a creative force in the industry. For over twenty years, she worked as a consultant and stylist, collaborating with renowned magazines and brands. In 2008 she joined Grazia Magazine as a contributing fashion editor, producing key fashion shoots, including the highly anticipated Big Fashion Issue. Alongside this, she styled campaigns for Monsoon and Radley while contributing to L’Officiel. Her trajectory continued as she took on the role of Fashion and Style Director at Lula Magazine before joining RUSSH Magazine, where she later became Fashion Director at Large. Her experience across such influential platforms laid the groundwork for her to launch E.L.V. DENIM, combining her eye for design with her passion for sustainability.
Anna’s vision and influence have been widely recognised. She has been celebrated in Vogue Business’ ‘100 Innovators 2024’ and featured in Women in Sustainable Luxury. E.L.V. DENIM was highlighted in The Walpole’s Brand of Tomorrow 2025 mentorship programme, and Anna was interviewed as part of the initiative. She has appeared on the Midlife Entrepreneur podcast and contributed to the British Fashion Council’s sustainability film, as well as being profiled by BBC News and The Standard. These features demonstrate not only her credibility but also her growing visibility as a changemaker within the slow fashion movement.
Anna is a compelling sustainability speaker because she combines industry expertise with authentic lived experience. She has delivered thought-provoking talks at the Vogue Poland Business Fashion Summit, SoHo House alongside Cat Deeley, the British Fashion Council Institute for Positive Fashion, and the Great British Brands Panel. Her discussions on circularity, innovation, and responsibility resonate with audiences, leaving them with a greater awareness of fashion’s environmental impact. By sharing her story, Anna inspires people to consider new approaches to consumption and creativity, proving that fashion can be both stylish and sustainable.

I bought a pair of E.L.V. DENIM from Anna Foster and have loved them ever since. The cut, the fit, amazing!!! I also love that they are made from recycled denim, so they are stitched not only with purpose but with rich storytelling.
If you haven’t discovered E.L.V. DENIM yet, get yourself down to Selfridges! I’m so thrilled that E.L.V. DENIM is part of The Mills Fabrica and London Craft Week at RESELFRIDGES. I absolutely recommend that if you want something special, go check ELV and Anna out!
