Yuko Nakahata

Yuko’s early professional path began in sales, a foundation that honed her skills in communication, negotiation and strategic thinking. Demonstrating exceptional capability, she rose rapidly to become CEO of Smart Inc. after only a short period as a sales manager. She went on to found Partir Inc, an independent recruitment consultancy where she again served as chief executive, strengthening her understanding of people management and organisational growth. She spent several years based in Hong Kong, leading multi-country APAC operations and sustainability-aligned supply-chain initiatives across Southeast Asia. Her international perspective is further shaped by global collaborations, AlchemistX engagement, and governance networks spanning Japan and the U.S.  She has served as an independent board director for Jelly Beans Group and Hourakuen Holdings Corp, and currently holds senior board positions at NAC CO. Ltd (Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market) and Tameny Inc. (TSE Growth Market), advising on ESG strategy, sustainability integration, risk governance, and new-business creation.

Academically, she holds an MBA (University of Cumbria, UK), a Corporate HR Management qualification from the Hong Kong Management Association, and Harvard Business School Online certificates in Sustainable Business Strategy and Sustainable Investing. She actively contributes to the innovation ecosystem as a Visiting Professor at iU (a university committed to developing future entrepreneurs), Business Mentor at Venture Café Tokyo, Supporting Member of TiE Japan, and Leader of the LeanIn “Glass Ceiling Breakers” Circle supporting women in leadership. 

All of these experiences form the backbone of Yuko’s strength as a motivational speaker. She brings together the agility of a startup founder, the discipline of a corporate leader and the vision of a sustainability advocate. Having been selected for and spoken at the JETRO × AlchemistX Global Startup Acceleration Program, TiE Japan, and also hosting SIN Tokyo, she communicates complex ideas with clarity and conviction.
