In 2003 he joined Harley-Davidson Motor Company as a Marketing Manager and progressed to the roles of Retail Network Development Manager EMEA and Marketing Operations Director EMEA. He moved on to work as Global Marketing Director for Aston Martin Lagonda before joining Hirschel and Kramer as Co-Inventor and Author.

Applying his vast entrepreneurial expertise to the BPN Foundation, Markus served as a Board Member of the distinguished foundation, which empowers entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan, Rwanda, Nicaragua, and Mongolia to encourage sustainable economic development. In 2015, Markus joined Bayes Business School as a Visiting Professor in Strategic Brand Management, passing on his revolutionary knowledge of brand growth, innovation, and purpose, to the next generation of executives. Moreover, Markus is the author of The Guiding Purpose Strategy, which offers readers guidance on contemporary brand management. He is also a regular contributor to notable industry publications and academic journals.
