Laurence Tubiana

Laurence Tubiana is a renowned sustainability expert with decades of experience in climate change, energy, agriculture and sustainable development. CEO of the European Climate Foundation, Laurence has had a long and illustrious career working across government, think tanks, non-governmental organisations and academia. Early in her career, Laurence laid the groundwork for a lifetime of sustainable innovation. In the 1980s, Laurence founded and led Solagral an NGO focused on north–south cooperation, food and agriculture. Environmental advisor to the French Prime Minister in 1997, Laurence was appointed Inspector General of Agriculture, and in 2002, she established the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations, thus setting a robust foundation for future achievements in sustainability.

Laurence’s achievements underline her commitment to climate action. Appointed as Climate Change Ambassador for COP21 in 2014, Laurence spent five years as Co-Chair of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Currently, Laurence serves as CEO of the European Climate Foundation and chairs the Board of Governors at the French Development Agency.
