Hannah Pathak is the Director of UK and Europe at Forum For The Future. A leading sustainability expert, with over two decades working in the non-profit sector, Hannah is a highly passionate campaigner for environmental change. She is at the forefront of transformational projects and is a distinguished authority on climate change and risk management. As a speaker, she powerfully examines humanitarian responses, climate adaptation and future trends. Hannah also specialises in convening dialogue and collaborative action, in cross-sector partnerships to explore challenging paradigms.

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in French and Sociology, Hannah held roles such as Customer Service Representative and Account Manager, before becoming an Expedition Recruitment Manager at EarthWatch Institute. During the same period, Hannah became a Guest Lecturer at the University of Oxford. In 2008 she was promoted to the role of Regional Programme Manager, where she delivered the HSBC Climate Partnership in Europe, MENA, and India. She then progressed to the role of Global Programme Director in 2011, where she led and managed some of the world’s largest corporate/ NGO initiatives, including the HSBC Water Programme and HSBC Climate Partnership. Furthermore, Hannah was involved in international crisis and incident management and set up satellite offices in India, Hong Kong, and Brazil.

In 2014, Hannah joined Rescue Global as a Consultant and was rapidly promoted to Director of Engagement where she played an integral role in supporting RG’s four key pillars, focusing on saving lives by empowering communities at risk. In addition, Hannah coordinated highly sensitive disaster risk reduction and response deployments. Progressing further at Rescue Global, Hannah became Deputy CEO in 2017 and immediately played an essential role in coordinating international humanitarian operations in response to the Caribbean Hurricanes during that year.

Hannah stands out for her expertise in risk and crisis management in both remote and field-based contexts. She has witnessed first-hand the magnitude of destruction and disaster to communities from climate change and is very passionate about change. Having conducted sustainability projects in over 15 countries, Hannah brings an exceptional understanding and a wealth of experience to her speaking engagements, where she eloquently discusses a range of topics around climate change, sustainability, and humanitarian response.
