Elisa began her career with Vodafone Group, where she steadily progressed into senior sustainability and CSR positions. During her tenure, she focused on embedding sustainability into employer branding strategies before relocating to Kenya to join Vodafone’s affiliate brand, Safaricom, as Sustainability and Social Innovation Manager. There, she successfully integrated sustainability objectives across 14 business divisions and aligned them with the company’s wider commercial strategy. Elisa later joined Santander as Head of Sustainability and ESG, where she led the bank’s transition away from traditional CSR models towards a fully integrated sustainability framework. She also restructured the Santander Foundation alongside the Board of Trustees. Since joining Sage, Elisa has established the organisation’s sustainability function from the ground up, defining its long-term ESG vision while overseeing the execution of global sustainability initiatives, including the Sage Foundation and the Sage Impact Entrepreneurship Programme.
