With extensive international experience across technology, telecommunications and financial services, she has built a reputation for delivering measurable sustainability outcomes within major global organisations. Her ability to connect sustainability goals with business growth, innovation and operational success makes her one of the most sought-after sustainability speakers for corporate events, leadership summits and ESG-focused conferences.

Elisa began her career with Vodafone Group, where she steadily progressed into senior sustainability and CSR positions. During her tenure, she focused on embedding sustainability into employer branding strategies before relocating to Kenya to join Vodafone’s affiliate brand, Safaricom, as Sustainability and Social Innovation Manager. There, she successfully integrated sustainability objectives across 14 business divisions and aligned them with the company’s wider commercial strategy. Elisa later joined Santander as Head of Sustainability and ESG, where she led the bank’s transition away from traditional CSR models towards a fully integrated sustainability framework. She also restructured the Santander Foundation alongside the Board of Trustees. Since joining Sage, Elisa has established the organisation’s sustainability function from the ground up, defining its long-term ESG vision while overseeing the execution of global sustainability initiatives, including the Sage Foundation and the Sage Impact Entrepreneurship Programme.

Under Elisa’s leadership, Sage has secured some of the industry’s most respected sustainability recognitions, including CDP’s prestigious A rating and EcoVadis Gold status, placing the company within the top 5% globally for sustainability performance. Sage has also received recognition from publications including the Financial Times, Time and Newsweek. Elisa herself was nominated for Corporate Sustainability Lead of the Year at the Women in Green Business Awards 2026 and has spoken at influential industry discussions, including Accenture and Sage’s “How AI is Reshaping Sustainability” roundtable. Alongside her executive work, she has served as an independent trustee on the Board of the Chartered Banker Institute and is currently a visiting fellow at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
