Early in his career, Chris demonstrated his commitment to sustainable travel. In 2012, he travelled to all three UK capitals in a single weekend using an electric car, proving the viability of eco‐friendly mobility. The following year, he founded Plug in Adventure, with a mission to create pioneering and exciting journeys that promote electric vehicle technology. His early record‐breaking trips, including a landmark John O’Groats to Land’s End journey in 2014, set the foundation for his future endeavours.
More recently, Chris has achieved extraordinary milestones that have captivated the sustainable community. In 2023, he became the first person to drive an electric vehicle from the Magnetic North Pole to the South Pole, a journey undertaken in a 100% electric Nissan Ariya. He was honoured with the GreenFleet’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2024, recognising his dedication to eco‐friendly innovation. His remarkable feats also include the 10,000-mile Mongol Rally in 2017 and smashing the Guinness World Record for the longest distance travelled on an e-bike in 2018 by cycling 180.75 miles in 12 hours.
