Best known for his presence on the small screen, Charlie made his media debut on Modern British Architects for Channel 5, which saw him recognised for his professionalism and engaging nature. Currently the presenter of Building the Dream on More4, Charlie has been at the forefront of the show’s success since 2013 and has supported the public in building their ideal properties in an affordable yet sustainable way over nine series.

Founding Charlie Luxton Designs in 2005, Charlie aimed to combine his expertise in architecture with his passion for sustainability. Using locally sourced materials, environmentally friendly products and designs that reduce climate effects, Charlie is the creative behind some of the most innovative buildings in the UK. Some of his smaller-scale projects include designing and implementing a carpool, and fitting solar panels at a school. Charlie has also green-furbished 30 homes, a testament to his commitment to environmental design.
