Peggy Liu is at the epicentre of ensuring that China is a greener place. Currently the Chairperson of the Joint US-China Collaboration on Clean Energy (JUCCCE), Peggy is a passionate advocate for societal change. Peggy has previously delivered a number of TEDx talks and is now often booked as a sustainability speaker for corporate events, sharing her passions for clean energy.
Named as a World Economic Forum Young Leader, Peggy has been pioneering a green China since 2007 and has dedicated her career to both the health of people and the health of the planet. Peggy has pushed for the introduction of smart grids, eco-city developments and energy-efficient products across the breadth of China. She is also famed for being the founder of Food Heroes, a revolutionary programme that encourages a diet with a lower impact on the environment through being more sustainable.
Peggy has also dedicated a great deal of her time to teaching, having worked as a Professor at the China Academy of Governance, the China Executive Leadership Academy and the National Academy for Mayors of China. Peggy is also the author of Mesmerize the Media: Maximise Your Impact With More Press and been named as TIME Hero of the Environment.
